Linux internal mail server?

I want to start setting up a basic Linux file server at my dad's company, we are currently using a Win XP PC for that but since there are now 14 PC's on the network that's becoming insufficient. I have gotten Red Hat 9 for this puspose.

I currently use a application called OfficeMail 1.02 from Burrotech for internal mail purposes, with the clients being Outlook Express 6. External mail is over ADSL line from the 10 peoples PC's that have external mail through our Smoothwall firewall.

Here is my question:

I was wondering if Red Hat 9 has a built in package for being a basic internal mail server?

If not, is there a good mail server app for Lunix I can download from somewhere or a distro of linux that has a good mail server app included that could also be a basic file server?

I'm a newbie at the linux thing, but willing to learn, especially after good experience with the Linux based Smoothwall firewall 🙂

IIRC RH comes with the Washington University IMAP (I would highly recommend IMAP over POP3) and POP3 servers and I believe sendmail is still the default MTA. I would recommend you use Courier IMAP isntead of WU if you can use IMAP and postfix is a little more sane to configure than sendmail, but that's no big deal.
