Linux foundation could support Firefox...

The Linux foundation could support Firefox...

Good morning dear friends,. 🙂

In my opinion I see Chromium critical cause for people who wants free Internet.

Even if it's open-source, Google is constantly pushing their proprietary things. Well Chrome for a long time didn't care about giving multi architecture support and for the support of free operating systems. Firefox officially supports ARM64 Linux but Chrome only supports x64.

The decision to support Chromium based browsers is suspicious because the timing matches with the anti-trust case.

So in my opinion I would be happy if Google would/ could send some support to Firefox.

All internet browsers have been free for me for the last few decades, and all work just fine for every use case that I've ever needed. The rest of this discussion belongs in a better forum.

good morning dear friends🙂

glad to hear from you : many thanks for the sharing of your ideas. Glad
well i use ff. vivaldi and chrome some times

have a great day

greetings🙂

Why would Google support Firefox?
Microsoft supported Apple when it looked like Apple was going to go bust.
I can see Google wanting Firefox around just so that there isn't an argument that the only browsers are chromium based and that Google doesn't end up in the situation Microsoft did with IE!

The whole firefox situation is concerning. People whine about firefox, and then say 'Fuck those guys, I use *fox'. There seems to be a disconnect about where those soft forks come from. They're all just rearranging the deckchairs of mozilla firefox. Graphical elements and features are easy to twiddle on/off. It takes real continuous work to keep the core engine up to date.

The world needs firefox so the internet® doesn't become solely owned by google™. People are fucking morons. They learned absolutely nothing when ms tried owning the internet.

Most of Mozilla's money already comes from Google.
The fear is if the DoJ forces Google to sell Chrome that will stop.

good day dear @WelshBloke - good day dear @lxskllr 🙂

thank you for gettin back and for sharing your ideas regarding the browser-topic.

well i have used vivaldi for some years - it runs on a chrome-engine. And i really really liked the tab-features that come with vivaldi. some times i have more than 25 tabs open on a single instance of vivaldi.

agreed - i also find the FireFox situation a bit concering.
But i think that the situation for the developers is not easy. They need more support - if the do not get this support - a "free" browser is in danger. At least to my humble opinion

thank you - dear @WelshBloke
