Linux EXPERTS - Cobalt RaQ 3 HELP needed please ;-) Thankyou very much.

i have purchased a dedicated server, linux raq3 -
in the Server Management console ADDING A VIRTUAL SITE out of many it asks for

1: IP Address
2: Host Name
3: Domain name

can someone please explain what i should put into these fields please and what they are.
i presume these are to do with a website that u were going to host on our server, so:
say i buy i domain name and want to set it up on my dedicated server, how do i determine the ip addy of that domain name ?
2: what is a host name, if i bought www.hostname.co.uk what would be the host name ?
3: i presume u would put the domain name u just bought in number (3) ;-)

i know i have to change the DNS to point to my raq3 - just incase u didn`t, just answers tpo above questions and set me right guys.

Well the IP address would have to be on the of the IPs that your hosting company assigned to you. These should be in the introductory email or something.

You are correct on the domain name, it should be hostname.co.uk.

I'm not sure about the host name, but I'm looking right now.

It looks like hostname should be www.hostname.co.uk
