Linux Distro for old machine

I am planning on installing linux on a really old machine. It has a 200MHZ Pentuim MMX and very little RAM. What would you guys suggest for a linux distro for best performance?

Any will do. Just make sure you go lean on the GUI. Don't install KDE or gnome. FVWM, IceWM, *box, or maybe XFCE-4 would be good.

Ram is the key. 64megs is what you need. 32megs is about the smallest amount you can get by with. Just remember that this is a VERY old machine. 🙂

Debian,
Slackware,
Vector Linux (slackware-based, optimized for slower machines)

and a few others.
