Any chance of you guys writing a How-To for a step by step set up of a multinode crack rack? If there is already a How-To for it, could someone pass along some urls for it?

Any help is mucho appricieated

Exactly what kind of nodes are you wanting to setup? Do they have hard drives or are the diskless? That point alone would greatly help.

if you want some floppy images or boot rom
i have them all ready to go.

just tell me the chip set and i will email them to you.

and i can give you a script to set up the root filesystems
and dhcp and some other config stuff

Mandrill,

Correct on both counts. He's referring to floppy images that will boot a NIC that has no ROM chip.

I currently have Phoebe 10/100 pci cards and old SMC ethercard Plus Eleite 10t's which use the WD 8003 under linux and other OS's. Not sure what chipset the Phoebe's are but I got them to work under Freesco without adding any other drivers to the standard install if that helps.

do you have the model number and chipset
for those phoebe cards

i went to www.phoebemicro.com but could not find any useful info.

examples would be realtek 8139 via-rhine
and there are many more
