Linux Clock + Netscape Font size

I finally got Linux working and I'm very excited. I would like to know how i can switch the clock in KDE to a 12 hour clock.

Second I would like to know how I can make font bigger in netscape. I went to the fonts in prefrences and picked 14 for both values. Now most stuff is bigger but the stuff at the top of this message (customize, profile, search, today, help, home, logout) is still very small, and so are the buttons at the top when you are typing a reply (http, https, ftp, mail, hr, highlight, etc.). Any idea on how i can make these larger? Thank you.

P.S. I just downloaded AOL Instant Messanger and installed it using the rpminstaller but now how do i access it? I would also like to know how i can change the homepage in netscape. Thanks.

the netscape homepage change under edit -> preferences
you can start aim from a term or from run (does kde have run?).

I have the same problem with netscape on OpenBSD. I think the problem is more with the page design than with netscape. Although I am not positive. Instant messanger can be started at the command line (I cannot remember the binary name though). As for the clock try right clicking on it or middle clicking on it and see if it gives you any options. If not try whatever KDE uses as a configuration utility.

With mozilla and gnome I have no font problems.. well, not really, and not NEARLY as bad as nutscrape.. you'd be better off using mozilla .91 anyway.

And check out Linuxnewbie.org for a NHF (newbieized help file) on importing fonts from Windows.

ALSO, if you use Mandrake, you can use a utility called DrakFont I believe, which will import your fonts from windows and make things look nicer.

mozilla is broken on my platform. I am stuck with netscape right now.

try changing the system fonts in the kde control panel

if you want to change the time settings

1) Right click on the clock and choose "date & time format"

2) Go to the "Locale" tab. Change the "Country" selection from "c" to "United States of America (us)", click apply and restart KDE.

If your fonts have changed, go back into "Locale" and change the "Charset" selection to iso 8859-1 to get the default charset.
