linux as domain controller for nt domain

Just starting to learn linux and I'm just interested to see how linux servers can fit into a windows 2000 server network. I purchased a book called linux for nt and windows 2000 administrators and it makes you think about some interesting situations

wow, what type of interesting situations are there?

fyi, i had to do this for a department at work as well. here are two links that i felt were quite helpful, hope it can help you as well:

http://samba.linuxbe.org/en/samba/config/pdc-1.html
http://bioserve.latrobe.edu.au/samba/ntdomfaq.html

my situation was a little tough because i had to tear down the current PDC, rebuild the smb.conf file for the current samba machine, and make it the domain controller. the links that i have will help in terms of adding machines, samba user accounts, and all that hoopla.
