Linux and Windows ME

I am running linux on my server with samba as my sharing software for the network. I have windows ME on two of my machines and 98SE on another. The 98SE machine sees the network just fine. My windows Me machines will not see the network at all.
The only way I can get the network in ME to work is shutting down samba. After I shut down samba I can start it back up then I loose my network thru ME again but I still can see the mapped drives from my other computer no problem.
Is there anyway around this? I don't want to go back to Windows 98SE.
