Linux and ThinkPad trackpoint mouse

I've tried a couple of different thinkpads and many different distros of Linux, but with every load after a few minutes of running the mouse goes crazy... the cursor shoots all over the screen and activates whatever icons are in its way.

Right now I've got RH9 loaded and its got a generic 3 button (ps2) mouse driver loaded by default. Is there something that I'm missing? I'm a linux newb and so far everything is working fine, but this.

Thanks,
Shane

Sweet! thanks for the link.. I'll give that a try tonight.

Were you having similar issues as what I've described?

Thanks again!!

Shane

I have a TP600e and didn't have any problems with the generic ps2 mouse driver, but the tp scroll driver has always been nice to use the third button.

No, not unless I tried anything BUT the Generic PS/2 (2 Button) Driver. The 3 buttn driver doesn't work for it.
