....don't seem to get along too well. My Athlon 700 with 256 Megs is running about 3-4 hours longer than my PIII 750 with the same memory under WInMe.
 
Is that an Athlon Classic? That in itself would make it somewhat slower because of the off die cache. The Linux client is a little slower than the Windows one too I think (I'm not talking about WINE here though). But I'd be surprised if it's 3-4 hours slower.
