I'm in the same boat, mine says Delivery Estimate Aug 29-Sept 2. I ordered the day of the deal. Still waiting.
Estimated shipping date passed Aug 25.

Hey ALLEN7 what card are you using with this Router? I saw the USB G PC Adapter on the Linksys Box but did not see the actual adapter for sale in Best Buy, just the G PC Card. I read the old USB B Adapter did quite well over the PCI card you put in your comp, so I may hold out till I can locate one of those.

I ordered this on 8/19 and mine shows a shipping date of Sept. 3-10.

I wonder why it is taking so long???

I see that the wireless-G PCI adapter is now on sale for $62.99 w/$10MIR= $52.99 free shipping. EDIT: on sale at Amazon.com Not too bad of a deal.

Does anyone know the range of this router and PCI card?

Alright, this is BULL: I ordered this thing the freakin' day the deal came out and now Amazon sent me an email saying that there's a delay, after it was supposed to be shipped yesterday. Now it's:

Shipping estimate: Sept 3, 2003 - Sept 10, 2003
Delivery estimate: Sept 8, 2003 - Sept 19, 2003

In other words, it could take MORE THAN A MONTH after ordering it until it is in my hands. If that isn't bull, then what is? Whew, sorry guys, but letting off some steam made me feel better.

hope they don't pull a Dell move and keep moving your order on and on and finally cancel 🙁

Luckily for me when that happened I had on record one of the Op's saying "You will have it by Christmas, No Problem!" [Dell Altec Lansing ADA-860's refurbs for $24.95 which I recieved as new ADA-885's)

how much does this interfere with 2.4ghz phones? If I'm not currentyl surfing the internet, is there no interference at all? If I am on the net, are phones almost unusable?

I don't have any problems although I have two 2.4 GHz cordless phones. You could potentially run into some problems if you crank up your microwave and have your laptop right, right next to it while you're on the phone, but no, you shouldn't have any problems using your phones or computers under "normal" circumstances.

I tested it with my gf's notebook with Netgear B PC card, works well in my house except certain spots. Both of my desktops are still connnected through ethernet.

Got mine yesterday, and it works fine with my M$ 802.11b card. Anybody has any suggestion with a good 802.11g PC Card????

I would be careful - I tried to set up two of these things recently with linksys g-notebook cards, but results were very disappointing. Compared to 802.11b much less range (only about 20-30 feet) and much more latency (delay up to 10 seconds) even after it was tuned to latest firmware and g-only mode. Send the developers back into their labs - I am sticking with 802.11b

Yo

got mine today, probably wont have a chance to hook it up for a week or so, glad i got it, my wife is in school now and we will be getting a lappy somtime so wireless will be nice, for now my wired router is doing just fine though, thanks for the deal
