Linksys wrt54g wifi needs resetting everyday for wireless.. why?!

Hello, I bought a linksys wrt54g wifi router a couple months ago.. and it seems that it needs to be reset every day for the wireless to work.

Wired always works fine.. Wireless works fine for underday.. then have to reset. I am using WPA and have 4 computers getting online wirelessly.


I just updated the firmware a week ago.. and still have the same problem.

Any ideas?

Hey I had the same problem you do. I was connecting with a number of computers to a wrt54g and once every day or so it would need to be reset. Well I found the stock firmware does not seem to like torrents too much and so I found this http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#Special...sers_with_Linksys_WRT54G_GL_GS_routers

I replaced my firmware with the v4.30.1, HyperWRT 2.1b1 +tofu12 and added the little tweak on the utorrent page and have had no problems since.

oh great news! I don't download torrents much at all.. once a month or so.. but still.. if this fixes it, great!

Looks like I will have to swap out my router with my parents.. my current is v6.
