I currently have a Linksys WRT54G 802.11 G router, and two pc's hooked up with wireless connections. One has a Linksys WMP54G Desktop PCI adapter, and the other has a Belkin F5D7000 Desktop PCI adapter. The problem is, on my Linksys adapter, things go fine for it once I switch the router settings to only accept 54G connections, but my Belkin Card Claims it is 54 G, but its internet gets shut off when I set the router setting to only 54 G connections accepted. Is there some kind of catch I'm not seeing here? Should this be working without trouble? As said before, my Linksys card works beautifully and no problems while switching this setting, but that belkin one shoots right offline when that setting gets changed to 54 G... I only get about 1 Megabyte/sec (or 10mbits) with the two computers together transferring file in between them, and I wanted to see if I could possibly make it higher, but I believe the 54 G setting is my answer, but I can't get to It, any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
