Linksys wireless client mode works? RESOLVED

I have a WAP11 v2.2 and BEFW11S4 v2 (wireless 4-port router) and both work fine. I tried putting the WAP11 in client mode connected directly to a PC and set it to a different channel and SSID and it will not work. I can configure it from the PC but cannot get internet access. I manually set IP's on the same subnet and the proper gateway and still nothing.

Linksys says it will work.

I was searching around and there seems to be some statements that it will not work with the 11S4.

What's the real answer? Do I have to dump it and get a WET11? I would rather not spend the money if I can avoid it. I can't get a strong enough signal via a standard USB client to my neighbor, so I figured I would give this a shot as I have a good aftermarket antenna.

Help

Edited*** Found out how to flash to Dlink DWL900+ firmware and it is working pefect as a client!
