I have a wireless home network powered by a Dell TrueMobile 2300 access point (it was free). I'm hoping to increase the distance of the signal with a booster, specifically the Linksys WSB11. The Linksys appears as though it may only work with other Linksys products (it mentions taking the antenna off the access point and putting it on the booster, for instance). Does anybody know if the WSB11 will work with other access points, particularly the Dell TrueMobile 2300?

Thanks.

Whether it will fit or not depends on the plugs and the physical arrangement since it was built as a Piggyback unit.

Here you have the specs page. Call the people in HD Com they will be able to tell you.

However as far as my experience goes.

Let say you have a Warehouse open space 200' long. You use Wireless but pat 150" it is not stable.

You put this booster and you will get better signal at 200'.

However if you are in home environment with wall and obstructions and your Wireless Router id some where in the corner of your room the booster will not do too much.

You probably better off buying an extra Wireless Cable/DSL Router (about $30) and use it as an additional Access Point.

More about it: Extending the Distance of Entry Level Wireless Network.

you might want to just buy a wireless extender. cisco makes for for like 30$ and you place it anyhwere in the range of your existing wireless network and it'll increase the strength.
