by the way, already got my Easy Rebates from last Friday rejected because I pricematched on Sunday. In order to pricematch the Staples people had to ring up a return for my Friday purchase and then resell them to me Sunday with the pricematch price. So the official reason for the rejection of my first Easy Rebates submission was that I had returned the items. After getting that rejection notice (by email), I resubmitted my new pricematched purchase for the Easy Rebates. We'll see how that fares. THAT was NOT easy!

Alright, since this thing's been sitting on the floor for a few days now, are there any good writeups on there on how to get it up and working ALONG with the supposedly missing ROM? If anybody has the damned thing, please PM me. Just want to do some testing since we already have SunRocket and I'd like to know what the other options are like.

Did you want a silver platter when you bought the PAP2? You might want to return it to Staples since it's missing.

OK answering my own question...I have VoIPBuster working perfectly, can make outgoing calls using the PAP2 I bought last week. I used the settings (and dial plan) from the first page of the Fatwallet post on this subject.
My paid Voipbuster account created a couple months ago doesn't work through the PAP2 (although it works through the Voipbuster softphone just fine). A free Voipbuster account I created today does work through the PAP2.

I have two of these PAP2's set up in the last 2 days.
One has Stanaphone with a real phone number incoming on line 1. It has a (months old) paid (from the 1 euro days) VoIPBuster account outgoing on line 2.
The other has a FreeWorldDialup with real phone number (from IPKall.net) as incoming line 1. It has SipPhone outgoing (it used to have 5 free minutes a day) on line 2.
They both work perfectly. If the rebates come this is a totally sweet deal !
ECartman, how did you get free world dialup working ? I'm unable to get outgoing calls work. Could you post the instructions on how you got it to work or PM me ?

I don't have outgoing on FWD. I only use it for incoming (it has an ipkall POTS phone number).
I use Sipphone for outgoing on that box. Sipphone used to have 5 free minutes a day, but I guess they stopped that. I have some credits left with Sipphone though so I can dial out if I have to.

Anyone have the rev 3 model and ever get it working. I cannot get into the admin controls at all. From what I have read, I may just be out of luck! I can get to the user control panal, but not the Admin.
OK new toy. Got an account on one of my PAP2's with www.callpacket.com, they have free incoming and 100 minutes outgoing deal right now (called Free Packet). You can get a free real telephone number, alot of western states to choose from. I got a number in NorCal. Works incoming and outgoing. See the posts at Voxilla for config info.

OK, got everything working. Except when I try and use Voipbuster, it tells me I don't have enough credits to make a call within the US. This is for the 1 minute free call.
When I try and put credits on, it gives me error 103 with my virtual cc #. My call history is empty despite making 4 calls over the weekend. Anybody else having such issues?

I have mine and am getting ready to unlock it. What can I do with it? I use Packet8 for my VOIP at home and pay $20 a month for the service. Can I use this for free calls somehow with another VOIP service for outgoing only? What options do I have. I only bought it as a toy and so I can switch to another company if I ever decide to leave P8. Thanks-
rvr2k3 - many people said they had issues with their credit card and voipbuster, I had problems as well. I used paypal as did most of those people and it worked fine.
