So I was browsing the web on my computer then lightning struck or something. Everything turned off and on for a quick sec. My cable came back, but not my connection. I tried the basics like unpluggin the router and cable modem. Then I directly connect to one computer which works. So the problem has to be with my linksys wirless router.

Does the router power up at all? Maybe the settings just got messed up, try reseting the modem to factory defaults.

I would replace the router.

However, if you want to see if it still works, try to get to the router's configuration page. You might have to set a static IP if the router's DHCP isn't working. Try a different LAN port, that kind of stuff.

Yeah you might just need to reflash the routers bios, pretty sure the IP to do this is 192.168.1.225, had to do this to my linksys a month or so back after it got shocked. Though if windows says there is no cable conected that means the Router is probably damaged beyond repair, luckily routers are fairly cheap now. Ive been through 3 Linksys routers now, one was killed by humidity(plugged it in after recieving it, and it just stopped working 2 mins later), another the LAN port became loose, and this last one has lasted a long time.
