Hi,

I have a Linksys Router (BEFSR41). Verizon now sents out a new model of the Fujisu DSL modem that usues a *straight* RJ45 cable. When I connect that modem to the router via a straight RJ45 cable, the Linksys Router does not recognize the DSL connection.

Is there a way to convert the cable from straight to crossover. In other words, is there a way to get around this new modem model?

Sure, just snip off the old RJ45 modular plug, grab a new one, rewire and re-crimp. Of course, it would be a lot easier just to buy a crossover cable. It's not like we're talking about a rare, exotic item.
