Linksys Router and AIM

I have a question. Sorry if I sound like a complete newbie but...I have DSL and I am using a linksys 4 port router to connect 2 computers to the internet. I have found that I am unable to use AIM's (aol instant messenger) option of sending or recieving files. I continuously get the error message that I am behind a firewall. Any ideas on how to fix this? Can I use the web based side of the router to change port forwarding?? if so what port? should I enable the DMZ host for the computer's address? the router's address? Thanks for your help

Do not do DMZ!!!!!!!
U did not tell us what model router U have.
So I would do a Google search with this line
(how YOUR LINKSYS MODEL# aim port forward)
should find U a tutorial with pics to guide U

Agreed, do not enable DMZ, that just opens all your ports. Basically, all you have to do is set a port for aim file transfers (it is listed in the options) and then go into your routers configuration and forward that port to your ip address (your specific computers' interal ip). Problem solved.
