I got the same router from CompUSA about a month back for $30, no rebates involved. Works fine for me, but I'm certainly no router/network expert. Its actually the Networks Everywhere brand name, made by Linksys.

What the difference between this router and the Linksys Router BEFSR41 model? Thanks. Jimmy

Just wondering because I really need a router to share my DSL connection with my other computers and I could get this one for 30 or the BEFSR41 for 50, or I could buy a used BEFSR11 for $25. Would there be anything else I would need to share the DSL connection between computers?

I don't know about the differences, but to share between two computers you have to have to NICs and 3 Cat5(e) cables. One to go from the dsl modem to the router, then the two others to go to the two computers. This router is so easy to setup, just pop in the cd to your main rig and it configures everything.

only if you want to USE the wireless feature. as i said, the mr814 has a 4 port switch, i.e., it's wired too

Well, actually the original reason was because I could go and pick up the router in the store. I wanted a router righht away. I'm anxious. Anyways, no deal on this router anymore. Amazon hunting time.

DAMN IT!!!! Why anyone know the reason behind this? Looks like I will be shopping for a new router after christmas, anyone know if I can use a wireless set up with XBOX Live? If so I will be going wireless

Yes, you need a wireless bridge. Basically these things just wirelessly replicate an ethernet socket, just add an ethernet cable and you will be set.
