I ordered a Linksys WRT54G router in february. I submitted the rebate stuff (I have copies of everything I sent in, including an invoice showing a date of 2/23/05). I received a post card from linksys refusing my rebate, stating that the purchase was outside of the qualifying period (1/10/05 - 2/24/05).
So, I went to check online. The website status says that I have the following errors:
Purchase was made outside of the qualifying period,
Offer only valid at participating retailers,
Submission did not include any original qualifying UPCs
I purchased the item on 2/23/05
I purchased it from Newegg which was participating
I definitely included the UPC, and have a photocopy of everything I sent.
Has anyone else had similar problems? Is Linksys doing this intentionally or are they just incompetent? And finally, does anyone know if there is someone I can contact to rectify this, or am I just screwed? I know it's only $10, but it's more about the principle of the whole thing.
