Staples.com (I know, I know) has this thing for $154.49, Outpost has it for $130...pricematch and go find/use a $30 off $100 coupon.

Of course, I'd much rather have the SMC Barricade, but the Linksys is quite nice
But does anyone have a hot deal for the Barricade? :)

Im looking into routers now. Why do you want the smc? Im wondering to see why they are better to help make my decision.

Thanks

Why not consider this one at 125$ on sale suggested retail 200$ :
NETGEAR?s RT314 Fast Internet Access Cable/DSL Router creates a potent full-duplex backbone, allowing you to share data locally or through the Internet.
Be aware I am only asking as the reviews are fantastic and the satisfaction high, and really I am learning too :)

I was reading from a lot of places that this Linksys router was really good. Like it has all these features packed into it, and that it's almost effortless to set up. However I did hear some complaints about how sometimes the router messes up, and you have to manually "hang up" and restart it. I also heard the NEtgear one is much better. I bought one myself and it's just sitting here until I get back to school and set it up on my cable modem. What are other people's opinions about the Linksys router or the Netgear router?

I did exactly the same last friday (PM staples with outpost).

total is $107.95 shipped

Got it today, 5 minutes set up and Cha-Ching ! Both of my puters are up and running with DSL (Telocity).

Very easy to set up and well organized User manual.

(SMC 4 port router was priced at $99.95 last week, didn't know they've gone up now)

If you buy this thing from a Office Depot B and M, it will ring up as 129.99 (at least at ward avenue in hawaii).. so i guess u dont have to deal with shipping and wasted time if you have a od in ur area....

Can anyone else confirm that the Linksys 4 port router rings up at $129.00 at any other Office Depot?
