Hey Guys,

I started this thread because the other one was way too long. I have a simple question/observation that I posted at the bottom of the other thread that I will repeat here. Thanks.

->Other Thread

I have watched for awhile now, but I must finally make a comment. I too was wanting to get in on this deal. The page said it was in stock, so I signed up and then they where out of stock. The interesting part is that if I cleared my cookies and closed my browser they where back in stock when I went back to their site. Is OfficeDepot just collecting information to spam us by offering some great deal they know they aren't going to fill.

Thanks for all the other great deals.

Hey TSILB,
I am sitting here looking at a Office Max receipt dated 12/08/00 where I purchased my third sealed box of the Linksys Network kit. They have them on clearance at $19.00 in their stores. Most of the sales force didn't even know that they are on clearance because each of the 5 stores I went into had the units clearly marked $99.00. Just walk into one and ask a clerk at the register to check to see if they have this sku in stock: 745883549009. If they do you're in luck.
If not have them check other local OM's in your area for stock. It cannot take 5 minutes of your time. It is sure worth it.
By the way Linksys has a $15 Mail in Rebate on this unit. Not bad for $4.00 plus tax.

I would wager money that there are still a few hidden in stock rooms out there!!!

Sounds like they are pulling fraud there, if they bill your CC right away, instead of when they ship. Get you to order with "in stock" when it's not.

The rebate is over. You have till the end of the month to mail in any that were purchased before Dec.31st. Still a good deal.

Next, that link doesn't go anywhere. By making a new thread for this (why, because "you" think it is too long - there are many longer, let a mod decide), the other was not kept up to date and thus has been archived or deleted. Since the link has no thread to go to, no one can read what was in there anymore. I have a couple of questions in there that never got answered although I tried to answer others in there.
Since this is a "new" thread with technically no hot deal listed, it may get locked. If the link worked maybe it will stay.

Where is that archive anyway? It is not on the forum list page or in the search function. I remember asking where a thread went to before and someone gave me the archived link to it but I never knew how to get it myself. Is that only accessible to moderators?
