Hey, can someone do me a favor and let me know if I could use this BEFW11S4 as a wireless bridge, enabling my upstairs Xbox to get it's connection from my Qwest Actiontec GT701's wireless router?

I understand that the proper 'tool for the job' would be something like the Linksys WET11, but I was wondering if the BEFW11S4 could be configured to act this way.

If not, could someone point me towards the type of cheapy router that can support acting as a wireless bridge? Thank you!

If that works, that makes this ultra hot!!!

I looked at the terms of the staples rebate and it doesn't require the UPC, so I think that this will actually work! Will an experienced "Hot Dealer" look this over and see if it works?

Only some routers can act as wireless bridges or wireless clients (like a wireless network card). The Linksys wrt54g can after flashing with new firmware, which is around $20 at CC after a PM to Compusa this week. Don't know about this one though.

Might as well pick up the MS wireless optical mouse while you're at it too!

Ordered min on Sunday night, got it yesterday (tuesday). :)
I will try the manufactuers rebate, but I don't think it's gona work.

I have two Belkin G routers used as a bridge. Manual describes how to do it. Got paid about $30 AR to buy two of these last fall:D They are often available for $10 AR, or maybe better through some AR/PM. We may even see multiple rebates (like I had) again.

Tip from FW - there may be an additional $20 rebate available when filing the Staples Easy Rebate online:

Add offer #05-28852 to the list of your rebates when you submit - you will use the same easy rebate number on your receipt. Apparently this rebate is more of a sure thing than the MIR.
