Linksys BEFW11S4 router + Netgear PS111W print server problems

I have the print server plugged into the router with a cat 5 cable, but the Netgear software can't find the print server. The router's DHCP client table lists the 3 computers in the house but it doesn't list the print server. I had the print server print its current status and it reported its IP address as 169.254.41.179. It should be something like 192.168.0.105 if it had gotten it's IP from the DHCP server. I've reset the router and the print server without results. Any ideas?

here is what I would do if I could, hook it up directly to a machine with a x-over cable, change the machine's IP to be in the same subnet. telnet it at that IP, if it is telnet-able.
Set it to a static IP matching the range for your router, and then hook it back up to the router. That is all depending on it having telnet capabilities.
After that, I would manually add the printer by tcp/ip port.
