Linksys "B" wireless broadband router and notebook card - $50

This is a wireless kit, part number on the shelf is NMK11B-WM. Slower connection, but still not a bad deal, no?

How so? Just the router is around fifty bucks anywhere I've looked. The card is around forty . . . and still more if you go with G wireless. For web surfing, 11 MBps is more than enough.

look around and you can find G routers and cards going for cheaper or around the same prices... those prices are that high probably for the same reason EDO ram is high...

The cheapest Linksys G router is 64 bucks on Pricewatch. The cheapest G card is 44 bucks. For B, the prices are about the same for the card, twenty less for the router.

Yeah, you can probably find other brands for cheaper but I've always used Linksys and never had a problem with it. I can't say the same for D-Link, Netgear, and some of the others.
