I finally just bit the bullet and paid $89 from bb today. If someone would mark these down $10 more, they would sell out of them. Of course people were grabbing these off the shelf pretty fast at $89 today.

office depot has it for the usual $79.99 ($99.99 before rebates). however, there is a $20 off $100 coupon floating around out there to bring the after rebate price down to $59.99 + tax + paper clips.

edit: coupon appears to not work on this item

the dell truemobile 2300 is the same broadcom hardware as the wrt54g. you can add an external antenna by soldering.

Also, the dell is a minipci card.. add it to your laptop if you unsolder the minipci clips.

Thats why I'm looking for it too :) The new "hacked" firmware with tons of features. Even bandwidth shaping and stuff that you need thousand dollar routers to get. Its not really hacked firmware, linksys released the source code because it runs on a custom linux setup, and other people just added a bunch of stuff in.

List of features on one of the "hacked" firmware: http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,9112726~mode=flat~days=10~start=60#9228934

Ordered one from Staples last night ($89 - $10 MIR - $15 coupon). Called today and got a PM to Amazon's Price ($79) with no problem. Final price will be $58, not too bad.

Office Depot has gone kinda cold lately as far as scortching hot deals go, now that almost all of their coupons exclude technology items now. Must have been pissed at that Cordless MX Duo I snagged for my wife's office computer for $60 after rebate and coupon. Luckily OfficeMax and Staples have been taking up that slack and sending me lots of coupons in the mail lately.

Buy.com started another 48-hr sale this morning. They seemed to drop the price of Linksys router to $71.99. Good for people who don't like the rebate hassle.
