Hey Cherrypez,

How did you get them to take off the shipping charges? They applied 8.95 shipping to my router because they said when you price match, they have to use the shipping of the place that you pricematch at (Outpost.com) and that has to be the price of the standard (2-5) day shipping price. I only called that one time to order though, but I'd rather get that 8.95 taken off if possible. What did you say to them or what's the reason that it should be free?

Thanks

<< If Staples.com offers a rebate and after the rebate Staples.com?s price beats the competition, no price guarantee will be given. You will be getting a lower final cost by shopping at Staples.com. (For example, if Staples.com?s price is $89.99 before a $30.00 rebate, so you pay $59.99 after rebate and the competitor?s price is $84.99 without a rebate, there will be no price match.) >>

right from staples site under price match policy... so don't ask the csr to point it out... some aren't totally oblivious... sigh... but i'll try a couple more times and see if i can find one who is!!!

and i just saw the other post of this quote...

Can you share files between two computers hooked up on this switch? It doesn't state anywhere in the FAQ's and such... I just want the DSL connection to the switch and then to three computers and hopefully this will allow them to have a network scenario...

am I right?

crap, my shipping is listed as Staples Courier (takes a full week). Were they supposed to ship it overnight since I pmed Outpost and outpost offers overnight delivery?

I have a feeling that my order will be cancelled :*(

Received my router yesterday but it only had a packing slip. Don't see a copy of the receipt.

For those who have send in for the rebate, where did you get the receipt? Did you print the copy off of staples.com? Need help so that I can get my rebate

ManDeJapan - If you call back and talk with another CSR, you might be able to get them to reverse the shipping charges. According to the CSR I dealt with the 2nd time, since Outpost.com offers free shipping on orders over $100 (and your order was over that before the $30 coupon), you should not be charged shipping.

Might take a couple of calls to get the "right" CSR though.

Excuse me for asking.....but the 1st post stated:

$129.95 at outpost
-30 coupon
-50 rebate

Are those manufacture coupons? If so, why would Lynksys be offering a 30 and 50 rebate? I'm kinda guessing the $50 is from Staples - how do you use a staples coupon on outpost.com? I've looked all over for these coupons - can't find nuthing.....

DAM, just discovered they mispelled my street name. You think it will still ship (its a very minor mistake - Haas, Hass) or should I call and correct this error. If I do call is there a chance that I get an A$$hole CSR and he/she cancells my order giving some bs excuse?

This is a Staples coupon. When you PRICEMATCH you make Staples match the price of any other retail store, so it becomes Staples' price too. Obviously, the $30/$100 coupon is for promotional purposes.

Is everyone getting their orders to go thru? I ordered around midnight Feb. 20 and
everything seemed OK but next day I got this from Staples:

We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. After I
placed your order, my
supervisor advised me that the price match on the following item to
www.outpost.com was not valid:

IM1008611 | Name: ETHERFAST CABLE/DSL ROUTER

The reason that it is not valid is because Staples.com has a rebate for
$50 on this item. Due to
the rebate, our price of $159.99 is lower than the price offered by
www.outpost.com. After the
rebate, our price would be $109.99 while the price offered by
www.outpost.com would be $129.95 which
is higher.

Your order has been placed on hold and will remain on hold for 72
hours. Please contact us as soon
as possible and let us know what you would like to do. Again, I
apologize for the inconvenience
that this has caused you.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your patience concerning this matter.

Has anyone else gotten this? Should I try it again or is Staples.com not doing the PM anymore?

Use a printout of your online receipt. At least that is what I have done for Staples rebates before.

BTW, got mine today via UPS.

Thanks for the deal.

Would my 'online receipt' be my Order History at Staples or the e-mail they sent me, since neither seems to be an official receipt.

Hmmm, I was using the order status. I used this for a Canon rebate since I did not receive a receipt or packing slip (after clearing with a CSR).

I called Staples to confirm it for the router and the CSR said if you received a packing slip, that is the receipt. So, my initial advice would only apply if you did not receive a packing slip or receipt. If you did receive a packing slip then that is what you need to mail in with the rebate form.

Sorry if I caused any confusion.

they really make these rebates a pain in teh ass. And why the hell doesn't staples just send a regular receipt with their orders?
