I do not understand either....I call staples and tell them I want to pricematch with outpost. They say with rebate our price is lower so they won't price match...This seems to get the price down to $109...How are people getting it at ~$50.

Thanks

Worked for me around 12:30pm PST today. Pricematched with Outpost, got $30 off and then I will send in the rebate when the router arrives. Hopefully I won't be getting a cancelled phone call like some others! It sounds like they deliver from within your local area so maybe certain ones have run out. At $57 this is the deal of the year for me!

I ordered successfully on my first try at 10:40 Central time. Checked availability first (in stock), gave shipping and credit card, said I had a discount code from an email, shippment is scheduled in 6 days. Total after PM and coupon is $106.74 for $56.74 after the rebate, Nice deal... I was looking at the Netgear RT314, but at half price, the Linksys will do just fine (hopefully).

I just ordered one too for $106.70 but I had to call them twice. The guy that took my order added a delivery charge(delivery is free on this) when he took the order.

$56.70 after rebate is sweet! 😀

I gotta quit checking out this forum! All these hot deals are gonna make me broke! 😉

This router does not have a printer port on it so no, you can't share printers like the SMC can but the computers will be on a network so it should work that way.

<< If Staples.com offers a rebate and after the rebate Staples.com?s price beats the competition, no price guarantee will be given. You will be getting a lower final cost by shopping at Staples.com. (For example, if Staples.com?s price is $89.99 before a $30.00 rebate, so you pay $59.99 after rebate and the competitor?s price is $84.99 without a rebate, there will be no price match.) >>

Thanks for the quote, but let's not tell the CSRs that are pricematching this. I just got one for $106.45 before the rebate.

Too bad Outpost raise there price. They were at 109.99 last week. Can you imagine... $109.99 + tax was $115.15 - $30 = $85.15 - $50 = $35.15. Ahhhhh... Can you imagine!

I just did it. The key to it is to place the order on line first, and THEN! call back and get price match. This way it is already in the system. But she said that she couldn't pricematch it until after it cleared the warehouse, because it was processing. Hope I don't get hosed. Said it would take a day or two and it would show up on my account.

I was going to do that (place the order online first), but then I was worried that they would say the price is lower since I used a coupon... I think the key is to get the right CSR. It will either work or it won't... I'm just glad it worked.

hey thanks for the hot deal.

i got it last night about 1am eastern time. you have to get the right csr because i believe the daytime people know about the rebate, cause they had a memo going around.

Well I ordered it online first, then called and it didn't work. Later I tried to get the pricematch online and cust serv responded and wanted to charge 8.95 shipping. Then I said Outpost had free shipping and they wrote back that this is true but because they have the $50 rebate, they couldn't give me the pricematch. I cancelled my order.

I strongly recommend keeping xerox copies of all paperwork mailed to staples. Spend the extra buck or two and send the letter REGISTERED MAIL. Those idiots at Coppell, TX have lost 2 of my rebates but I kept calling their 800# and bugging them and they wrote me a check.

Don't only mail it. Fax it to the rebate center in coppell as well. I bought a hd last week, entered the rebate info online at staples, sent the paperwork in by fax on friday, received word that my rebate was approved and the check would be sent out mid/march.

If they hadn't received the fax, -then- I would have sent it in certified mail. Made copies regardless.

As for the router, about the only benefit I could -maybe- see by placing the order online first is to be able to use dash or ebates to get a little $$ back.

I have tried w/ 5 diff CSRs w/ no luck! "Since this includes a Staples $50.00 rebate we can not PM this item." 🙁

Ha! The sixth try was the ticket! Nice CSr ( Had a sexy voice...woohooo ) Total was $106.58 before the rebate, Total $56.58. great Deal!

Got two CSRs that did it for me.

Jayson (sp?) at ext 6899
and Daryll at ext 5487 (had a friend do this one so I can get two rebates)

Just play it dumb. If you go to the Linksys part on Staples.com it says nothing about a rebate. This is BS anyway, since when can they force you to use a rebate. Just for the fun of it I called back and argued that I don't trust rebates and want the price matched. She said no about a dozen times, finally put me on hold and talked to someone, and then came back and said she'd do it. I said thanks and hung up. I wouldn't have been able to get two rebates so...
