Onvia.com has the SMC EZNET 10/100 card for $11.63, free shipping. That comes with 6' cat5 cable and wake-on-lan cable. This is the same product as the more expensive SMC 1211TX model, as told by a SMC salesperson. I was told by a co-worker that the SMC card has better Linux support than cards by Netgear and Linksys. Received the product under 48 hours.

Went to Office Depot yesterday, the manager was THE GREATEST MGR i have ever dealt with!!! Bar none.

Not only did he give me the sale price on the HP 8250I which was on sale last week, and should have been $199.99, but the cheaper NIC's were all sold out, so he gave me the LNE100TX with the free cable, and still only chanrged my the $9.99!!!

Of course, when I went to OfficeMax to pricematch the 8250I, THAT mgr was a complete dIck, and didnt pricematch it, even when I started yelling at him in front of his "employees" Oh well, it was kind of fun.

I originally bought 2 of these cards several months ago for my linux box. I couldn't get them to work, so I swapped them for my 3com cards in my windows pc. Now I'm happily running the networkeverywhere card in my windows pc with no problems and the 3com cards in my linux pc.

If your only using these cards in windows pc's, then I think they are a good deal. I bought mine for $9.99 a few months back and they didn't come with a cable, so this is an especially good deal i think.

I bought the SMC one from buy.com a while back (not from onvia) when buy.com has free shipping + $10 off. It came with FREE 6' Cat and free TurboLinux Workstation4.0

Hope this helps.

Huy, the SMC one does come with cable, at least the one I ordered from onvia a week ago does. Also confirmed by wjones. I didn't expect to get a cable in the package, so that was a nice surprise.
