Hey guys.. I thought you might like this.

I recently created this program. Let me explain what it does. LinkSave.NET is a free online tool that allows you to save your favorite links privately and access them from anywhere at anytime. Now you don't have to write links down or e-mail them to yourself from school, work, and other places where you cannot access your Favorites list! It's totally free. I hope you all like it.

not going to happen.

neat tool, good luck with it, I'm not going to use it, because private to you, is public to me. aka I don't trust your security measures any more then I trust paypal's which means not at all.

?

I don't get why you people think I'm some dude trying to get people's links and give them to the world. I made this program for 1 reason, to further my knowledge of PHP and MySQL and gain experience. If you truely believe I made this program to look at people's links or screw people over, I'm very sad that you'd think that. I figured this would be a nice tool for all of you to use to store your links when you need access to them. :(

its not that I don't trust you, its that I don't trust anyone. I'm sure you have a fine program and product, I just would hate for my personal information to get into the wrong hands, even if those hands arn't yours.

LOL, you're not getting a sticky if I didn't get a sticky for my Flash Out program ;)

How secure is your thing, anyway? And why not use one of the many other online personal information sites? :)

well if you get a decent software firewall, you don't really have to worry about his program phoning home

Besides, to become popular you need to provide a program to extract all my IE Favorites and Netscape bookmarks, and import them into my online account...

Umm.. he doesn't ask for your name and address..

Just make up a user name and use an anonymous email

What personal info do you think he'll have access to...

Do you open a new browser at a blank page every time you visit a site?

I don't see any software there. It seems to be an online service...

Yeah, these privacy nuts are taking it a bit far.

Why even use the internet if you're that worried.

Madacc,

Cool project you have there. I am giving it a try. And to all the privacy nuts, get a life. We are talking about links here. LINKS. It isn't like he said "Hey, I created a site where all anandtech users can save their credit and debit card information. Come try it out." There is nothing private being saved here. Period.
