the new album doesn't sound nearly as good as their previous works. they are slipping away from their original sound.

and why didn't this topic get locked? the only reason this thread was created was so people would click on the OP's link and earn him a referral link credit, of which if you earned so many you would get a prize (not that I can remember what the prize was...).

reminds me of Lostprophets. However, only their first album is a required listen. Their second and most recent third album are no where near their original sound. I think the departure of their turntable & DJ had a major impact on their sound.

I just listened to the new album...it's...OK. Maybe it'll have to grow on me but for now, as others have said, it's definitely no Hybrid Theory or Meteora. I can appreciate a change in musical direction, but I do miss the old sound. Honestly it's not as bad as what I was expecting after reading the comments, though. Sometimes it's good to have low expectations.

For those of you that were disappointed with Minutes to Midnight and are yearning for something along the lines of LP's older stuff, definitely check out Red - End of Silence. It's available through the "usual channels," but please buy it if you like it.

That pretty much leaves Valentines Day and In Between as sort of bad eggs to me. Not bad for a whole album and worth the $15 to me. I wouldn't want them to do this again though. As they were showing on MTV this morning, this album in music videos, clothes, music styles--- its like they made a heavier metal carbon copy of U2. And I'm sorry to disappoint the majority of people here, but I honestly hate U2. I can't even stand to listen to songs like Vertigo.

But yeah, pick it up. I think most of you guys will like it.
