Does anyone have a link to a list of benchmark for all cards. What I am looking for is a comprehensive list of benchmark numbers for all cards. Reviews may compare a GeForce 6600GT against a ATI x700 Pro, but how does a 6600GT go against a ATI 9800 Pro (an older card, but probably still pretty good)?

The 6600gt is 10-30% faster than a 9800pro, even in games like HL2 where ati is usually better. Here is a review HL2

You will never find benchmarks of all existing VGA cards running the same test system. And since the benchmark results are very dependant on the "testbed", it wouldn't be very lucrative to compare random benchmarks found on the net.

This is the largest one I have seen yet: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/2004-27gpu2.html.

X800XT PE is, without doubt, the winner.

Edit: Thanks for the link peleejosh. Another huge review... Lovable.

X850XT PE should be the winner. The reason why it doesnt win in those tests is because the PCIe platform used is an Intel one and Intel is slower than A64 in games. The X800XT PE card is run on an A64 system though.

RussianSensation: Ok, but in my case the X800XT PE would be the best since I don't have PCIe compatability yet. Wish I had though... So typical of me to do a major hardware upgrade just a couple of months before the PCIe standard became really popular. So now I'm stuck with AGPf or the next years

"Across the board, the 6600GT is a better buy than the 9800 Pro. There is no question that the performance is better across the board, and only gets better at higher resolutions. Add to that the fact that the feature set is a year newer, and there really isn't a debate."
