Hmm...been away for a while due to my wife's health which heartbreakinly resulted in her
passing away the day after Thanksgiving. I am still pretty much messed up and miss her terribly. She was always concerned about me with my staying with her at all hours of the day near the end. She told our friends who called her to make sure I got back to doing things to try to lessen my grief a little since she knew she didn't have much time left.

I had to re-establised my log in credentials since I can't remember crap these days so I could re-awaken an AM2 box with new parts to do FaH on it. Log in reestablished and clicked on the link for MDE's instructions but keep getting a new window for AnandTech Forums list. Is there any other way to get the info available of the links listed on the FaH progress posts?

It looks like those links got borked when the forum migrated to this new one.

Send a PM to Phaxmohdem and he may be able to backtrack and get you the original link info through the info he uses to make his stats posts.

If you go to the folding at home website, they have great setup guides available. I'm guessing the info is more up to date and a better choice overall to "cook book" your installations.

Go here ==> FaH Guides at the project website

Thanks Insidious for the post. Went to the link site & printed instructions. Probably this weekend I will get the AM2 box set up and running FaH on it.

TurtleBlue, I am sorry to hear of your wife's passing. The loss of a loved one can be especially brutal during the holidays. If you need a shoulder, please PM me.

Sincere condolences :rose:

Remember joyous times - remember the smiles ()🙂

It might take your mind off things for a bit by joining the TeAms' F@H Holiday Race. Lots of stats to check out, race thread posts to make, etc. :sneaky:

And there are Sids posts - good for at least one laugh per day -- oh oh, is this another stat to keep track of 😱

TurtleBlue, very sorry to hear about your wife. Like others have offered already, if you need someone to chat with, feel free to send me a PM any time.

I had to do a bit of searching, but I found two of the borked links and fixed them in the script. They should be working as of tonights stat post. MDE's guide can be found here:

The only link I couldn't dig up by searching was the Static IP guide to keep SMP clients from stalling by Insidious... Sid, if you read this and remember what the title was to that post, or if you have the new thread number, send me a PM and I'll get that last link working again.

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife passing, turtleblue.

My sincerest condolences to you, your family and friends.

I wish to thank you all for your heartfelt words. Today is not a particular good day for me so I decided to read up on the posts I have not seen in the past few days. They have lessen the pain in my heart for which I am very grateful.

Bless you all,
TurtleBlue

Minute by minute, hour by hour, hang in there, I promise, eventually it will get easier.

Find something to distract you for an hour - hmmm - Volunteer for something? - Meals on wheels? - Soup kitchen? - Fill and/or deliver Salvation Army food baskets for the Holidays? - Food shelf?

Go to a movie? - Go bowling? - Go to Christmas Eve service? - Go to a museum? - Look up an old friend? - Read a book? - Take a nap? - Chess Club?

Eat healthy foods - drink juice and lots of water.

God Bless you too Turtleblue 🙂
