I have a 3d prophet card that'a bout 6 months old. Yesterday it all of a sudden, I started getting these weird faint horizontal lines across the screen....they look like someone smeared or streaked the windows. It's really weird. I thought it was the monitor, but it isn't. I plugged it into another computer and it works fine. Am I basically screwed with this card? Time to buy a new one?

6 months old? I don´t think you have to buy a new one, it must still be in warranty, right? :)

With best regards,

If you are seeing cyclic patterns of faint lines rolling up or down across the screen, this is RF interference and is a known problem with many Geforce cards. However it is primarily a problem with GF2 Ultra boards, so count yourself unlucky if this is happening to you on a regular GF2 board. There is an extensive thread in the video forum at www.nvnews.net that might interest you.
