So I bought a tv-tuner display card so I could watch TV, videos, etc. But the pictures sucks. Everytime there's "movement" of the picture, thin horizontal "lines" flicker in the image. Why? Can I fix this?
What TV card did you buy? What is your input source? If it's analog the quality of the picture could be affected by the low quality of an analog signal. I have a satellite hook up through an S-Video connection and the picture is flawless. I use an ATI AIW 9700 Pro video card.
If you are using a stand alone TV card you should check the mfg site for software updates as well.
It's the Happauge WinTV 2000. I've got cable running directly into the coax input. Actually, the cable runs through a VCR and then to the card. But it doesn't matter; the problem exists even if it runs directly into it. Tapes out of the VCR show the same problem.
