Sometimes when I turn my lcd on I get a black vertical line down the middle of the screen. I used this lcd with a different pc and it never happened until I put together my current pc. I got a new video card and it still happens. I also get blue screens when I do long encoding with Dvd Shrink. Don't know if that's related. Any ideas what I should do or replace?

What error do the blue screens give?

Sometimes things like constant graphical corruptions can be due to graphics memory problems, or overheating issues. Can you run games? If it is GPU related, you probably will have issues with games too.

Other than that, maybe make sure you have the latest drivers for everything.

I don't know it offhand. I'll run DvdShrink and post it here. I think my cpu is too hot though. Most of the time my pc is on the cpu usage is 5% or less and the cpu temp is a little above 50 degrees Celsius. At 100% load for a long stretch is must get pretty hot.
