I couldn't enjoy it to excess, but a piece after dinner with a good coffee is like a slice of heaven

It's pretty good, but I like their single-origin bars a lot more. The Peru bar is 80% I think, and the Ecuador (my favorite) is 75%. I think I had a 95% from them as well, but that wasn't so good...

I haven't tried any of those, but I can't imagine the 95% being that nice in any quantity...

I'll have to give the single origin ones a try tho

The only good thing Lindt makes are those variety-pack jars of chocolate truffles you can buy at Costco.

I just went to the chocolate museum in Cologne, and they had Lindt 95, 99, and 100% for sale.

Orange Intense is pretty good, but only 65%ish. Excellent chocolate for a treat, but other chocolates are better for snacking. Toblerone for eg, I can eat way more than I should of that.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Hershey's milk chocolate is better. Why would I say such a thing? Because it's sweeter!

That said ... my favorite chocolate is "Rogue Chocolate Stout"

Peanut Butter Lindt truffles quite nearly killed me within the first 6 months of my discovering them. My body became composed of no less than 15% Lindt. They're almost so good it's not really enjoyable anymore eating them. Like crack.

I'm the same way with the white chocolate truffles. I've had to force myself to buy only one bar when I go grocery shopping now :)

Did you know that the percentages being quoted in chocolate sales now are nothing more than a marketing gimmick?

A piece of chocolate can claim to be "85%" or "85% chocolate", but they don't specify of they are referring to cocoa butter, cocoa solids, or some other component of chocolate. Such percentage claims are viewed by the FDA as 'marketing' and are in no way regulated. Basically, by quoting these numbers on the packaging, manufacturers have discovered a new way to raise prices on their product without actually making any changes to it.

Buy chocolate for the taste and texture, but never pay attention to the %'s quoted. You'll be better off.

Its around.....prob not everywhere though. It is still a smaller production. Made in NY so you got a better chance in the tri state, new england areas. Although there was someone on a forum posting about it in ohio......so i dunno.
