i went from an 8800gt to a 5770 and i couldnt be happier. I dont know about these gray stripe problems some people report, but i have no such problem. Its a great upgrade considering that a 5770 can be had for $140. Increased my fps 60-80% depending on the game. No complaints at all.

Sell your card for 50$ and grab a used 4850 for 80$. That 30$ should get you through the next 2 months @1900x1080. Then you can make a purchase with better competition and prices.

Wtf? That was all to do with the OP's question.. wait for Fermi or not? Signs point to not being worth the wait due to price and availability, and being able to resell used.. but somehow this is irrelevant? Just because you weren't able to /thread?
