Anybody know of the highest stable AGP/PCI bus configuration

I have someone that claims 82mhz agp 41mhz PCI .... stable -- edit: just checked 41 not 40 :|
water cooling / x800pro

sounds a bit suss to me
since mine wont boot past 70mhz or so for the AGP (9800)

really? --- isnt stock 66mhz , and 33mhz? -- thats a little more than you're usual 10% tolerance?

AGP is usually more tolerant of being overclocked. PCI, on the other hand is less forgiving. I highly doubt his system is very stable clocked at 40mhz on his PCI bus.

82 mhz is still very high for the AGP bus as well.

It totaly depends on your parts if you have PCI and AGP cards that will operate that far out of spec your golden, but most of us are not that lucky, it is possible though. I know people who used to run about those speeds back in the 440BX chipset days and still had stable systems, most modern systems have AGP and PCI locks though so it's not necessary to run these out of spec as it doesn't really offer any pratical benefit.

I ran an ATI 8500 at AGP 100MHz without problems for about two years on an Abit BP6 (BX chipset). It depends entirely on your hardware (though devices connected to the PCI bus is are a little more finicky.

i used to run 80/40 when i had my overclocked cele-D and a cheap ecs board. Any higher and my Promise ide card would take a dump.

Ok, so I remember when people used to pump 100 MHz => 133 and what you get is 44 PCI and 89 AGP. That's pushing it a bit. Some componenets might go wtf.

40/80 is definitely fine. My PCI bus ran about 39/40 before and it was fine.
