You are limited to AGP video cards only, duh x800 or 6800 or 6600
if you feel that your videocard is not fast enough,, and have the money,,, by all mean upgrade.

I had that cpu 5 months ago and when I bought the 6800GT I was debating whether should I upgrade or o/c my current system.
I decided that the cost of upgrading to a new cpu+mobo was not a lot more than buy a nice cooler+fan+psu(if not reliable) or a watercooled system in order to have a good o/c,which to be honest I'm trying to avoid if it's not necessary.
So it's clearly up to you and it depends on what you want to upgrade to.
I show significant differences with my A64 3400+ Newcastle with the same card especially at cpu limited resolutions. You are cpu limited with 2.8c but this doesn't mean that you can't have a great gaming experience with your current cpu.
Example:
DIII P4/2.8c/10x7 67fps
A64 3400+ 88fps
Hoped I helped and not cofused you... 🙂
