Limit on the length of a user name?

... screws up the formatting of the forum listings (go look in FS/FT). Can either a cap on the length of a user name be implemented, or code generated to not show the whole name if it exceeds a particular length?

You can't, all the html is dynamic widths and its entirely dependant on resolution, image sizes allowed etc. It's a minor annoyance nothing more.

I think maybe he just considers it "messed up" to have one username that's twice as long as any normal one, since it makes the columns for the avatars or the username in the thread list change widths.

lol... and the resolution on your screen is what?
1280x1024 , looks good .... but could you make it so you have to MANUALLY type in your user name ? that would kill those of us with no living memory cells.
