hello fellow andandtechians

my boyfriend recently reinstalled windows on my laptop so i had to re-download all of my executable programs- limewire being one of them.

anywho, i open it and it no longer connects to the network... i am unsure as to why it is not doing this. before, it would connect immediately.

soooo, why is this happening and how can i fix it?

thank you all 🙂

Limewire is crap, haven't used it in years. Anything you want off it can be found by torrent or by filehosting sites like rapidshare.

WTF. You honestly think that a topic about problems with software should go in Off Topic in a tech forum? Especially when there is a forum called "Software for Windows"?

grrrr i knew there would be at least ASSMUNCH.... besides, its not just for windows. jerkoff! thats not the freaking point

you guys are a bunch of douches.... thanks to one person who actually said something useful

I use Frostwire (www.frostwire.com) and whenever I can't connect to the network I just delete the gnutella.net file and just d/l a fresh copy of it (look around the frostwire forums to find it). Then I'm able to connect.
I don't know if it's the same with Limewire.

Is this you?

Well, do you have any sort of firewall preventing it from gaining access the net?

I don't have or use Limewire so I don't know what options it has...
