CALLER: Yeah, hi, Rush. How you doing?

RUSH: Fine, thank you.

CALLER: Hey, #1, I enjoy your program. I love listening to you, and I believe in you.

RUSH: Thank you.

CALLER: I hope I'm not being deceived, though, all these months and years that I have listened to you up to this point. I think you're making too much light of these immoral pictures that we're seeing, you know, with our ? those ? prisoners over there in Iraq, with the Marines, and... You know, they already think we're evil. They already think we're sinful as hell.

RUSH: Yeah, but we're not, are we?
CALLER: Well, we're not, but those pictures --

RUSH: See, here's the problem. Steve, I don't have much time, and you made your point and I appreciate it, but I want to answer this before the hour ends.Bottom line is this. I said the last two or three days -- this is Tuesday -- the last two days admitting this is not good, that this was a mistake, that this is a problem. But I'm not gonna sit here and just beat it to death. I'm not going to obsess on it. If Bush apologizes once, they're going to demand that he apologize 25 times. Now, at some point we need perspective added to this, and that's what I'm trying to do, and I'm trying to bring up another aspect of this I think is interesting. It is to me, and that is the role that women are playing in this and what it says [ear-splitting tone] about our culture. But I'm not going to sit here and spend two weeks wringing my hands over this. It isn't worth it.

Sound like Distract and downplay to me.

turned the Whole issue into a Feminist Woman culture Anger get the Fvck back in the kitchen issue.

Yet again displaying your ignorance and ASSumptions. Do yourself a favor - next time you listen to Rush - try listening with an open mind like you leftist always claim you have instead of listening with your ASSumptions and knee-jerk fake outrage.:)

Im hardly a leftist there Cad, Hard to Believe isnt it. Ive Listened to Rush For Years. I think he is a Blowhard, YET ENTERTAINING.

He was Much better When He was Against the Grain, the Anti-Clinton. now He is Bad, out of his speciality area to say, as an apologist.

The irony Of Cad Telling Me to Listen to Rush with an Open mind. HA

So Cad, what is your take on what he is saying I have read through his shows of the 4th and 5th and IMHO it appears that he is doing his best to minimize it, and then he goes on some bizarre tangent about women.

To be fair I have seen no indication of pillaging.

He is trying to minimze a very serious situation.

RUSH: Okay, what now, what am I missing? Rape, murder, and pillage? We've done that? Where did we do that? I haven't seen that. Tell me, what am I missing? All I've seen is, you know, the Britney Spears, Madonna torture photos. All I've seen is the woman with the cigarette out of her mouth, you know, pretending to aim a gun at some guy who's nude, and laughing; and I've seen, you know, the pyramid of the nude guys with hoods on like Robert Byrd birthday party. What is this rape and pillage and murder stuff now?

Its Not the Soldiers Fault, Its Societies Fault.

huh, the argument from Rush, a member of the "Personal responcability group", making accuses

No. What he has been saying it that the media game is out of control and is outrageous. He has stated repeatedly that these people should be held to account -something you Bush(&/or Rush)-haters seem to ignore.
Oh, and you obviously missed earlier parts of this woman discussion thing so your "outrage" over his "bizarre tangent" is again because of lack of context.

I find it funny that those who don't actually listen to Rush try to take him so seriously and make a big deal out of a couple statements they took out of context and ran with. Heck - even people who listen to the show(yes liberals, so-called "independents", and the so-called "moderates" listen to him too- smashp is an example of one them) run off to some libbie site in search of something to try to blast Rush with even though they heard the program. I guess maybe their context and comprehension processor has to be put on hold while their ears work.:p

TORTURE AT ABU GHRAIB

I would Say to be Sodomized by a broomstick is torture. Its in the Armys own report. Plus open up the Blinders. If There Wasnt a threat of torture or death, do you really thing the Iraqis just jumped into that pile or Enjoy simulating Masterbastion for the camera.

Not been following current events recently?

She isn't walking the dog.

More

You starting to remember this?

What was done was torture. Perhaps it was blowing steam off?

OK a compromise. These people needed to blow off steam and torture prisoners.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. There is no good reason for people in that region to believe otherwise.

The trolls must be following conur in here:)

I dont understand why the libbies thinnk Rush is a spokesperson for all republicans. I would never in a million years assume that Michael Moore represented all democrats.

There was one realy good laugh in this thread though.

I hope Rush chokes to death on a handful of Oxycontin

Nice to know if some democrats don't like your point of view they would wish you dead. Kinda puts things into the proper perspective here.

Hey, I don't think he's a spokesperson for all republicans... I just think it's funny when some people will defend him as if he was one, no matter what nonsense comes out of his mouth :)

Listen, we are at war with Iraq. Half the country does not support this war. You have to be outside your goddamn mind, as a soldier, to go around and do the disgusting acts they did with the Iraqi prisoners. The US Military deserves all the humiliation in the world for what they let go on. There is no excuse, we are supposed to be the most advanced civilization in the world, lets act like it. There is no defense for their acts, and this issue is not LIGHT. It should be fully investigated and reported on, the American public has a right to know what is going on.

I have, and i don't blame the individual soldiers as much as i blame the leadership, they were TOLD to soften the prisoners up for questioning, they allowed this to happen.

Jim Jones was a democrat. Democrats kill the people they profess to love? Generalizations are great when they support whatever position you decided to troll on.
