He doesn't because he's smart...it would be an enormous pay cut (his answer whenever anyone asks him about running for office).

If you think about it, he probably has more power in the long run, by not running...Most Presidents history has shown, fizzle out after their Presidencies after finished...that gives you at most 8 years...

A commentator and policy shaper as powerful as Rush and remain a player for decades (as he's already shown). No other lib can even come close to the power and influence Rush has on shaping American political policy...

At least Rush has come up with a smart Bi-partisan stimulus proposal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123318906638926749.html

The One could not even get one Republican to vote for his stimulus in the House...the opposition to his porkulus plan is bipartisan, 11 Democrats voted against the porkulus...

Hahaha, 46% of the electorate voted for a moderate Republican who I have repeatedly denounced. Therefore 46% of the bill should go to Rush Limbaugh tax cuts!

What a clown. There's a reason why people who mention they listen to Rush Limbaugh become immediately defensive about it. They know they're listening to an idiot.

At best, Limbaugh ditto heads can help shape 25% of the GOP, a minority party for most of American history and a rapidly shrinking party now.

And for all of Rush's ranting during the political primaries of 2008, those candidates touted by Limbaugh flopped badly. In short, if Rush can't carry his base,
he is politically irrelevant. A loud voice crying out from the wilderness of the lunatic fringe, but decidedly not a voice of wisdom or anyone able to get any of his fantasies passed into law or policy.

Rush has enough supporters to make himself into a wealthy man, but so did Pee Wee Herman, and given the right Don Imus moment, ole Rush will hang himself.
The usual fate of demagogues. Rush has just had a longer career than the usual run of the mill types like Joe McCarthy.

This thread and everyone that bashed Rush over this is one huge farce. Of course Conservatives want a liberal to fail at implimenting liberal policies. Duh. This is another case of the left using flat out lies to marginalize conservatives.

Look what Obama has said lately about Rush, saying people shouldn't even listen to Rush. It's pretty bad when a political leader singles out a private citizen like the left seems to be doing lately, now with Obama and previously with Harry Reid.

What Rush said is exactly what any conservative thinks, and unlike the flat out liars on here, it wasn't anything malicious or meant in a malicious way.
