Whether you agree with her views or not, this woman was a true American, a person who stood up for what she believed in. She had humane Quaker principles, and she walked her talk until the day she died.

I had the privilege of meeting her more than once.

Seems like a person genuinely passionate in her beliefs. It would be interesting to know if she was collecting a social security check.

If she was a Catholic against abortion who led peaceful protects against that, I am sure you would be calling her something much different and insulting religion as backwards to modern thinking.

Not angry at all. I find it interesting that the left chooses to praise religious people when they are anti-war, but if they are pro-life, they are vilified as backward thinkers stuck in the past.

I am pretty sure Dave was just making the point that she was a good person, not all of that other stuff.
