Ok i like his stuff, i'm just curious is he hood or not? I know his dad Baby is, like, he actually knows what he's talking about. But did Wayne come up like that or what? Because a lot of people like him, and i'm just not sure that he reps what he talks about.

Btw my life's not rap, i like everything, mostly dance music, so i dont want flaming me because of this thread 🙂
 
Baby isnt his biological dad, more like a father-figure and guardian. lil wayne's real dad was killed when he was younger and Baby took him under his wing. Lil wayne is from new orleans too and im pretty sure hes "hood"

Does it matter if he's hood if he makes good music or not? How is it truly relevant? Was it necessary for Scorsese to be a gangster to make Goodfellas?

EDIT: Sorry -- didn't see the part where OP said he liked him regardless. The question does get old when asked about any rapper though. I'm tired of hearing it.
