Breast Enlargement Contest Draws Fire

TAMPA, Fla. - Radio giant Clear Channel Communications has come under fire from women's health advocates over a Christmas contest in which stations granted breast enlargement surgeries to women in four cities.

In the "Breast Christmas Ever" contest, 13 women were awarded the procedure after writing essays to the stations explaining why they wanted larger breasts. A Tampa station claimed to receive more than 91,000 entries.

for such a fvcked up country, the US sure is scared of nudity.

Not that this really has anything to do with that. oh well.

This country is fake. They talk about morals at the voting booth but watch shows like desperate housewives and consume tons of porn. So what is it? The public face of being a bible reading god fearing man and then when they go home and lock the doors its porn time.

I'm not surprised a women's advocacy group is against this. And I think its unfair to blame Clear Channel, only the specific radio station should be under attack. Now if it was a nationwide contest for all its stations...

Why not? The own the stations and should be responsible. FYI, it was in 4 different cities so obviously they knew about it.

Who, exactly, is the "women's advocacy group" representing, if one station received over 91,000 entries? That sounds to me like 91,000 women who don't agree with this group.

They'll still say they represent all women and say that those women didn't know any better. Also while finding legal means to extort their views:
they are complaining the contest promotes potentially dangerous surgery and leaves its winners with no legal remedies should the surgery go awry. Under the rules, winners must be at least 18 and sign a waiver protecting the company from all liability claims.
It doesn't matter if the women know that but choose to enter anyway. Breast implants are evil mmmkay? 😉

hmm thats true. They probably should have known a contest like this would draw the women's advocacy groups against it.

So now just talking about breasts can get you in trouble? Oh lord, the puritans surely have too much time on their hands...

See for yourself what they want expunged from the airwaves

http://www.parentstv.org/

They have their own ratings of what shows are "no-no's"! (quite comical)

Well, you know what they say: opinions are like a**holes, everyone's got 'em.

Where are the breasts???????

I am an American, we LOVE TITS, make some of the best perfect looking fake ones in the world......

Actually, the phrase "Breast Christmas Ever" is a little offensive, well I find it a little offensive.

How about these holiday shows...

Guys "Hung on Hanukkah" 😕
Girls "Jiggling for Jihad" 😕

Christmas has been degraded enough to Giftmas 🙁 . I'm not saying they don't have a right to do a show like this, but come on, have some respect.

Respect for what? A pagan holiday that was co-opted and corrupted by the early Catholic church, the meaning of which was twisted to celebrate Christ's birthday? Christ wasn't born Dec 25th...

People are way too sensative in this country. No one made the women enter the contest. No one made anyone listen to that radio station. There are so many REAL things to be concerned with and people are getting sued over THIS!

Sorry--this is the new Christian Right Regime...things like breasts are not seen, nor spoken of.

😉

our country is very werid. On the national geographic, they'll do somethen on there about some other country and the ladys on there be naked, but when it coming tobe an american being naked on tv, that a big no no. Over in europe and canada they have public nude beaches, it pretty much accepted in those area. But here you cant be doing that kind of stuff out in the public.
