What fascinated me the most about those Smurfs is their tendency to use the word "Smurf" for everything. If you think about it, only one other English word is as commonly used in the same way. Let me demonstrate.

Shut the smurf up.

You smurfing smurfhole.
What the smurf is going on.

Oh man I sure want to smurf her.

Yup, Gargamel smurfed her from his book of spells. Later on Smurfette smurfed everybody else. She was a smurfing smurf who smurfed for money.
