This anime is amazing to say the least. I'm a big fan of FMA: Brotherhood, a little of Naruto maybe, Samurai 7, Death Note, Code Geass, and this one is easily near the top with FMA: B.

The basis is that
these people start playing this MMORPG that's VR, so they "plug-in" and are in the world. However after they start playing they realize they can't log out, and the creator of the game says that they can't leave until they beat the game (kill the final boss). Dying in the game kills you in real life, and if anyone tries to disconnect you in the real world , you also die.

So yeah, if you have the chance to, give it a shot. There's only 25 episodes and I wish there was more 🙁
 
Sounds like .hack//sign. I only watched a few episodes so I don't know if that's what that's about but it's seems to follow along the same lines.
 
Bleh. I've familiar with the anime characters being sucked into and forced to play an MMORPG where death is permanent genre, and all I can say is Ixion Saga DT is the best.

A premise is not a spoiler. A premise is what tells you if it's in a category of shows you may or may not be interested in.

A spoiler would be "THE KING IN THE NORTH DIES!!!1111" Etc etc.

hulu has it at what im guessing is 480p(probably from crunchyroll). chances are that's the best quality you are going to find streaming legally for free. there are other sites like the OP's link but they are typically mini mkv rips at high compression.

the ainclad arc is the strongest and a lot of the episodes are epic. the fairy dance arc didnt translate well to animation, the light novel had way more setup and internal monologue where most of the drama happened.

if they get a 2nd season, the gungale and sidestory arcs should work better in animated form.

You can use Crunchyroll, I believe the free subscriptions allow you to view but just after a few days. I have a paid sub (best time to pick those up are during Black Friday)

Site says $6.95/month and there is a 14 day trial. I cant recall what the Black Friday discount was and there's no guarantee it'll be the same this upcoming Thanksgiving.

I recommend at the very least checking out the list of shows currently available (the catalog does get updated). I like it as there are also PS3 and Android apps (I use it on my Note 2 as well) for easy viewing

Funny, this thread mentions the only 2 good anime I've seen in probably 10 years. Course that's mostly because the girls don't have boobs the size of their heads and they don't contain about a million panty shots per episodes. Not everyone who enjoys anime is 18 and into fan service.

But I digress, the first half of Sword Art Online was incredible, second half not as much fun... If you'll see one anime series, that's the right choice.

Attach on Titan is great, but man, can they stop screaming so much? Armin is about the most annoying character ever, all he does when talking is either cry or scream.
